Carriganass Castle
The restored castle ruins reminds us of the rich Irish history whereby this castle was built by clan chieftan Dermot O'Sullivan Beare. The tower-house style was the building style of choice around 1541 and served as a home and shelters from attack.

The Stone Circle of Kealkill
Visit the stone circle of Kealkill, thought to be dated to 2,400-500 BC, the early bronze age.
The site was excavated as recent as 1938 by Séan P. Ó'Ríordáin.
Typically these five standing stone circles, found only in counties Cork and Kerry, and always consists of the axial stone facing two stones referred to as portal stones, which marks the entrance to the circle. Remember the exact purpose of these stone circles are unknown but thought to be to facilitate rituals of some sort.

Priest's leap
Priest's Leap is a straight single-lane mountain pass taking the visitor through Coomhola Bridge and Bonane and the highest pass road in Munster at 463m, accross County Cork and County Kerry.
Urban legend has it that a Roman Catholic priest chased by priest hunters got away by a miraculous leap of his horse from a mountain cliff from Cummeenshrule into County Cork.
